Ethiopia is often referred to as the birthplace of coffee. The Coffeea Arabica plant was originally cultivated in the forests of the Kaffa region, and it was missionaries in the 16th and 17th centuries who facilitated its global trade and distribution. The Port of Mocha in neighbouring Yemen lent its name to coffee from this region, as it became a major trading post for coffee going into Europe and Asia. It is also from here that mocha (a chocolate and coffee drink) was named, possibly due to the chocolaty notes present in many Ethiopian coffees. Ethiopian coffee is known for its earthy and rustic profile, boasting a full body and abundant ripe fruit and cocoa flavours. Additionally, delightful fresh pine and lemon meringue pie aromatics add a vibrant touch to this exceptional brew.

All of our coffee will be roasted and sent out the door within 72 hours of roasting ensuring only the freshest coffee turns up to your doorstep.
