Guatemalan coffees are renowned for their intricate and multifaceted flavour profiles. This specific variety is an Authentic Antigua, cultivated in a volcanic valley surrounding Antigua, the former capital city of Guatemala. Situated approximately 1650m above sea level, the valley is encircled by three volcanoes: Agua, Fuego, and Acatenango. The nearby coffee plantations benefit from fertile volcanic soil, low humidity, ample sunshine, and pumice stone, which aids in moisture retention. These combined elements contribute to a superb coffee with delightful fruity notes, richness, and a surprisingly full-bodied character in the cup.
